About the Role

BENFICA CONSTRUCTION LTD. is seeking a skilled Rough Carpenter to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools and ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems, working collaboratively with other tradespeople to ensure a smooth construction process.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware, paying close attention to detail and ensuring a high level of finish.
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including industrial, institutional and residential environments.
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in carpentry and woodworking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and a high level of physical demand.
  • Reliability, efficiency and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
