In this role, you will report to the Health & Safety Manager and provide essential support to various academic and operational units in the effective management of hazardous materials. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with the Workplace Hazardous Material Information System and the National Fire Code of Canada. You will assist, advise, and recommend best practices to maintain all legislative and regulatory standards related to WHMIS, including inventory management, safe storage, and transportation of chemicals across the institution.
Key Responsibilities:- Education and Training: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for the university community on WHMIS and chemical safety.
- Health and Safety Initiatives: Implement programs that promote a safe and healthy work and learning environment.
