Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Aluminum Door and Window Installer to join our team at Doors & Windows Markham. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation of aluminum doors and windows in residential and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation Expertise: Determine layout and installation procedures for aluminum doors and windows, ensuring accurate and efficient installation.
  • Measurement and Marking: Measure and mark guidelines for installations, ensuring precise fit and finish.
  • Supply Management: Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Tool Operation: Utilize hand and power tools to complete installations, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Site Preparation: Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
  • Area of Specialization: Focus on aluminum windows and doors, developing expertise in this area.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in physically demanding environments, handling heavy loads and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Weight Handling: Lift and move materials weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure successful project completion, maintaining accurate and organized records.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in construction installation.
  • Work Setting: Construction and installation environments.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
