Corporate Tax Analyst

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Professional to join our Canadian Tax team at CAE Inc. As a Tax Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of tax returns, compliance with tax regulations, and provision of tax advisory services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and Review Tax Provisions: Prepare or review tax provisions, including tax returns, underlying forms, and journal entries.
- Canadian Tax Returns: Prepare Canadian tax returns (T2) and the underlying forms (T106, T1134, NR4, etc.).
- Book-to-Tax Adjustments: Prepare journal entries regarding book-to-tax adjustments, tax payments, and refunds.
- Balance Sheet Accounts: Great knowledge regarding balance sheet accounts continuities and applicable accounting standards.
- Consolidated Tax Provision: Participate in the consolidated tax provision: perform analyzes of different components impacting the tax expense and tax accounts in order to provide global visibility.
- Tax Audits: Support the team for tax audits affecting the company (corporate tax) by preparing the analysis required for government audits and preparing audit summaries and their impact.
- Tax Filings: Monitor tax filings by the companies, ensure that tax assessments have been analyzed and registered in the books.
- Tax Laws and Regulations: Monitor applicable tax laws and regulations changes affecting CAE entities.
- Research and Analysis: Perform research and analysis regarding various files, special projects, and uncertain tax positions, able to present non-recurring transactions affecting companies and explain applicable tax treatments to minimize the tax risks.
- Internal Knowledge Sessions: Participate and contribute to the internal technical knowledge sessions regarding various accounting and tax subjects.
Requirements:
- Education: Hold a University Degree in Accounting.
- Experience: Have a minimum of 3-4 years experience in corporate taxation and tax accounting.
- Designation: Hold an accounting designation, an asset.
- Specialized Knowledge: Master's degree in taxation or specialized taxation course from the CICA, an asset.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Oracle and HFM, an asset.
- Language: Be bilingual (French and English).
