Role Summary:
As a Knowledge Management Specialist, you will collaborate closely with the Knowledge and Localization Team to create and manage multilingual content for our clientele. Your primary responsibilities will encompass:
- Producing instructional video tutorials in various languages.
- Conducting quality assurance assessments of product translations.
- Gathering multilingual product visuals for help documentation and release notes.
- Addressing client requirements for multilingual content effectively.
To excel in this role, you will need to swiftly adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Knowledge Team to design how-to video tutorials.
- Work alongside the Localization Team to maintain the quality of product translations.
- Engage with the Knowledge and Localization Team to produce and disseminate multilingual content.
- Manage publishing queues to review and publish content generated by D2L colleagues.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in at least one language besides English (preferably Canadian French, Mexican Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, or Arabic).
- Ability to independently fulfill all deliverables related to customer and D2L requirements in a timely and organized manner.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with GitHub for version control.
- Experience with MadCap Flare as a content management system.
- Background in technical writing, especially for software and process documentation.
- Experience with Canvas for creating instructional video tutorials.
Education Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a university or college program with a co-op option.
- Completion of coursework in communication, technical writing, rhetoric, or related fields with a strong emphasis on persuasive writing is considered an asset.
Compensation:
The anticipated weekly salary range for this position is $725—$996 USD, determined by the candidate's relevant knowledge, skills, education, training, and experience.
