Job Summary

The Lake Louise Ski Resort & Summer Gondola is seeking a skilled Millwright Technician to join our Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall condition and operation of passenger ropeways and surface lifts at our resort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic problems with associated equipment.
  • Adhere to assembly and installation instructions set forth in vendor manuals and specifications.
  • Assist in training lift operations staff and apprentice millwrights.
  • Ensure that safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance once the machines and equipment are put into operation.
  • Complete digital records on the LLSR computerized maintenance system.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation.
Requirements
  • Red Seal Millwright certification.
  • Previous ski lift or gondola work experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machinery and equipment.
  • Safety-oriented, adhere to OH&S responsibility and requirements.
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Must possess accurate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good physical condition as this position requires some heavy lifting, standing for long periods.
  • Able to supervise younger workers as required.
  • A three-month probationary period applies.
  • A police background check, from your home country or province, will be required upon commencement of employment.
  • A friendly and professional manner.
  • First aid certificate is an asset.
Work Schedule

7:00am - 5:30pm

4 On/3 Off
