Job Summary:
The Store Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the total operation of a Spirit Halloween Consignment Store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability. This includes establishing and maintaining Guest Services, controlling expenses, and managing shrink, merchandising, inventory control, staffing, setup, pack-up, and teardown of the store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the store, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability, including merchandising and visual displays.
- Manage and control expenses, including labor costs, inventory, and supplies.
- Monitor and control shrink, including inventory discrepancies and theft.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales associates and management staff.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
- Collaborate with the consignment operator to achieve business objectives and goals.
Requirements:
- Minimum age requirement is 21.
- Prior retail management experience is required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions:
The physical demands of the job require 8+ hours of standing/walking, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. The store is a seasonal retail environment, and the manager must be able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
