We are seeking a Senior Estimator to generate comprehensive estimates for diverse and complex heavy civil infrastructure tenders, while overseeing all phases of construction from inception to completion at our head office.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Examine plans and specifications to ascertain the scope of work and delineate project prerequisites.
  2. Formulate detailed estimates for tender submissions across small, medium, and large-scale heavy civil construction endeavors.
  3. Foster and sustain robust, long-term relationships with clients.
Primary Duties:
  1. Evaluate project requirements and devise a strategy for estimate development.
  2. Assess the scope of work, identify subcontractor packages, and secure subcontractor bids for inclusion in the estimate.
  3. Compile a comprehensive estimate using Hard Dollar, incorporating all self-performed elements: labor, equipment, materials, etc.
  4. Conduct a risk analysis of the estimate and present the project execution strategy and estimate details during a bid review meeting with management.
  5. Collaborate on major project pursuits (RFQs and RFPs) alongside partner firms.
  6. Maintain and oversee client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication.
Qualifications:

A minimum of 7 years' experience in executing pre-qualifications, estimates, and contract negotiations for heavy civil construction projects.

At least 7 years of experience managing all facets of heavy civil construction from project initiation to closure.

Possession of P.Eng, EIT, a technical diploma, or extensive industry experience is essential.

Proficient in managing new client development, addressing customer concerns, and delivering exceptional service.

Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Projects; experience with Hard Dollar is advantageous.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, coupled with outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Demonstrated strong work ethic, capable of thriving in a confidential, fast-paced environment with stringent deadlines.

Possession of a valid Driver's License.

The typical salary range for this role is $90,000 to $130,000 annually, with variations based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other relevant criteria.
