Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team at MAC'S SUSHI. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and cook sushi dishes to order, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and handling standards.
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional manner.
  • Inventory Management
    • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and restocking.
    • Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy and prevent losses.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
    • Provide training and guidance to junior staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College diploma or equivalent in a related field, such as culinary arts or hospitality.
    • 1-2 years of experience in a sushi kitchen or related culinary environment.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Safe Food Handling certificate or equivalent.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on sushi preparation and presentation.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
