Your Opportunity:

Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Addiction Counsellor III to join our team at the Edmonton Community Health Hub North. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide quality, client-focused, recovery-based care to individuals seeking assistance with addictions and mental health.

About the Role:

The Addiction Counsellor III will be responsible for assessing the nature and severity of clients' mental health and substance use, planning and implementing interventions to stabilize the situation, and providing education and referral services to clients and their families. You will also develop and implement treatment plans, provide crisis intervention, and monitor and evaluate client progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessment, treatment, and case management services to clients with addictions and mental health issues
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address clients' unique needs and goals
  • Provide education and referral services to clients and their families
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress and adapt treatment plans as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Addictions or a related field
  • Registration with a regulatory body such as ACSW, CAP
  • Active registration under the Health Professions Act (Alberta)
Preferred Qualifications:
