Job Title: IT Business Systems Analyst

At Douglas College, we are seeking an experienced IT Business Systems Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise technical solutions that support the college's business vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scope, design, and deliver technical solutions that meet business needs
  • Perform business analysis planning and monitoring
  • Conduct requirement gathering, management, and analysis
  • Facilitate workshops to gather functional and technical requirements
  • Design and lead the delivery of technical solutions
  • Supervise coding and release of code into production
  • Apply the BCGEU Collective Agreement to daily decision-making
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computing Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent IT program
  • Minimum three years' relevant experience in programming and analysis
  • Strong technical background and ability to keep current with technology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Teaching skills and ability to communicate issues and requirements
