About the Opportunity

Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health are seeking a skilled Registered Cardiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing noninvasive cardiac diagnostic tests, including electrocardiograms, signal average electrocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring, and exercise tolerance testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for ambulatory monitoring and stress testing
  • Perform stress tests under the direct supervision of a cardiologist
  • Precept and mentor new learners in the department
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Grade 12 plus successful completion of a Cardiology Technology program or acceptable equivalent
  • Current registration and good standing with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists
  • Current BLS (HCP) certification
  • Recent clinical experience in an ECG department and demonstrated proficiency in performing EKGs, Holter monitors, and stress testing
  • Strong sense of initiative and responsibility
  • Ability to adapt to flexible workload and stressful situations
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
