About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at COBRA INSULATION LTD. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a high-quality finish.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings, meeting the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, ensuring accurate measurements and precise installation.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound, guaranteeing a strong and durable bond.
  • Estimate costs and materials, providing accurate and reliable information to support project planning and execution.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Commercial and residential experience, with the ability to work in various locations.
  • Dependability, flexibility, reliability, and a strong team player attitude.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
