Job Title: Child Minding Coordinator

The YMCA of Northern Alberta is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Minding Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our child care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and supervision to children in our programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the supervisor in recruiting, training, and coaching staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure staff and volunteers understand and follow YMCA standards.
  • Manage staff and volunteer scheduling.
  • Address member complaints and issues in the absence of the supervisor.
  • Role model recruitment and retention of staff and volunteers, and work collaboratively to achieve recruitment goals.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and members, and respond to calls, messages, and emails in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the operations of all programs and services.
  • Actively supervise participants and ensure instructors' performance aligns with job duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensure program schedules offer a variety of options and times, and follow procedure for cancellations.
  • Follow OH&S standards.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Early childhood development or related experience is an asset.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Certifications: Standard First Aid & CPR-C.
  • Able to obtain a Police Information Check and Vulnerable sector check.
