Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formulating the strategy and executing the merchandising plan for Rona Dealers.
  • Oversee and coordinate all phases of merchandising projects, from conception to execution: gathering data, organizing and leading project meetings, defining tasks, and delegating them to the appropriate departments.
  • Negotiate contract terms with suppliers related to merchandising initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources essential for each project.
  • Facilitate communication among various stakeholders to ensure alignment of goals and project success.
  • Create, standardize, and maintain current tools and documents (weekly planners, promotional calendars, category review calendars, booking calendars, supplier contact lists).
  • Conduct regular market analyses to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and deliver training for internal teams and affiliate dealers on new initiatives and marketing tools.
  • Prepare analytical reports, track project performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), and recommend adjustments to optimize outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with merchandising, marketing, IT, design, and store operations teams.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of project management experience in retail, merchandising, or marketing.
  • Experience in category management is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business administration, communications, project management).
  • Demonstrated initiative and attention to detail.
  • Exhibit informal leadership capabilities.
  • Strong adaptability to change.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines effectively.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Organizational skills with a results-oriented approach, focusing on process optimization and customer experience.
  • Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement strategies for necessary corrections.
  • Political acumen.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
