We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist/QA Inspector to join our team at NPA WorldWide. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our machine and fabrication shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect machined and fabricated jobs to ensure compliance with drawing, process, and customer specifications.
- Monitor in-process jobs to prevent non-conformance issues and ensure quality standards are met.
- Inspect items received from sub-contracted processes to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Prepare and maintain quality documents, such as certificates of compliance and dimensional reports.
- Maintain a calibration system for measuring instruments and assist with employee production issues.
- Promote high expectations, efficiency, and safety in the work environment.
- Identify irregularities in parts and non-conformance to quality standards.
- Prepare and manage non-conformance reports and assist in the investigation and resolution of issues.
- Liaise with customers and vendors regarding quality issues.
- 5+ years of work experience in a machine and fabrication shop environment or engineering department of a manufacturer with heavy machining capabilities.
- Strong understanding of quality control and working to quality standards.
- Ability to interpret blue print drawings and accurately read various measuring tools.
We offer a competitive salary range of CA$ 75,000 to CA$ 85,000 per year, depending on experience. Located in Kingston, Ontario, our company values a safe and efficient work environment. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for quality, we encourage you to apply.
