Public Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Nurse to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a key role in promoting health and preventing disease in our communities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement public health programs and services to promote health and prevent disease in our communities.
- Work with community partners and stakeholders to address health inequities and improve population health.
- Provide education and support to families and individuals on health-related topics, including prenatal and postnatal care.
- Collaborate with the Early Years Consultant and other team members to address local population health needs.
- Apply health equity, social justice, and determinants of health principles to all key responsibilities.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in nursing and public health. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in public health or community health.
- Certificate in Public Health Nursing an asset.
- Eligibility for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
