The Pastry Box is seeking a dedicated Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for baking and a commitment to quality.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
This position is based in a factory or plant setting, where you will be part of a dynamic team focused on delivering exceptional baked goods.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare various doughs for items such as pies, bread, rolls, and pastries, as well as batters for cookies, cakes, and muffins, following specific recipes or customer requests.
- Bake and monitor mixed doughs and batters to ensure optimal results.
- Decorate and frost cakes and other baked items to enhance presentation.
- Maintain high standards of product quality and consistency.
- Conduct inspections of kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with safety standards.
- Operate necessary machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Organize and manage inventory to ensure adequate supplies are available.
This is a permanent position with a commitment of 40 hours per week. The primary language of work is English.
