Role Overview

In this pivotal position, you will play a key role in advancing the success of GTB across various markets. Your responsibilities will include identifying and developing transformational opportunities while ensuring alignment with the team's strategic objectives. Collaboration with business lines will be essential to define and validate strategies for both Canadian and global markets, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a customer-centric culture to strengthen client relationships and leverage broader banking resources.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of the GTB strategy by analyzing global payment trends and their relevance to our markets.
  • Facilitate problem-solving sessions and workshops with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
  • Analyze findings and present actionable recommendations to senior leadership to drive impactful project outcomes.
  • Assist in annual business planning, including investment assessments and benefit forecasting.
  • Create materials for executive updates, steering committees, and monthly business reviews.
  • Ensure that risk appetite and culture are integrated into daily operations and decision-making.
  • Champion operational efficiency in accordance with Scotiabank's values and compliance standards.
  • Foster a high-performance environment that values inclusivity.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Corporate Strategy, Consulting, or a strategic role within Financial Services.
  • Deep understanding of the transaction banking and payments landscape, including market dynamics.
  • Ability to articulate complex business concepts related to transaction banking.
  • Experience in applying design thinking to address business challenges.
  • Comfortable operating in an agile, matrixed environment.
  • Hands-on experience with payments modernization initiatives on a global scale.
  • General knowledge of trends and technologies in global transaction banking.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
