About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fire Safety Specialist to join our team at LMDG Building Code Consultants Ltd. as an Intermediate or Senior Consultant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and develop approaches to building code compliance in Fire Protection and Life Safety Building Code reports.
  • Conduct research to identify building code issues and develop approaches to demonstrate compliance.
  • Document findings in Fire Protection and Life Safety Building Code reports and code compliance drawings.
  • Attend project meetings, conduct site visits and field reviews, and assist on Certified Professional and other projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or post-secondary education and equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Building Code Consulting Role.
  • Current knowledge of Building Codes and related standards.
  • Proficiency with CAD.
  • Experience in engaging with AEC project teams throughout all stages of design and construction.
  • Experience in developing and enhancing working relationships with clients and industry professionals in both public and private sectors.
  • Valid driver's license.
