Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA of Three Rivers. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality early years programs and services to families in our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide welcoming and inclusive environments for children and families, promoting positive child, family, and community experiences and outcomes.
  • Assist in ensuring the centre meets and/or exceeds regulations outlined by the Child Care and Early Years Act (2014), the Municipality, the Public Health Unit, and the YMCA of Three Rivers' policies and procedures.
  • Support Early Learning and Development by providing experiences that build responsive adult-child relationships and encourage children's exploration, play, and inquiry, supported by How Does Learning Happen? Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years.
  • Ensure all requirements of the EarlyON curriculum are supported, including regular cleaning of toys and materials, and upholding health and safety standards.
  • Provide curriculum champion support to staff, students, and volunteers by mentoring and coaching on the facilitation of EarlyON programs and services.
  • Ensure the Child Protection Policy is being followed, and all EarlyON Best Practices are being implemented.
Requirements:
  • Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with knowledge and expertise in child development and play-based learning.
  • Experience creating environments that nurture relationships for children, parents, and caregivers based on the latest evidence and research.
  • Knowledge of How Does Learning Happen? Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years and experience delivering high-quality early years programs.
  • Strong communication, adaptability, creativity, innovation, and teamwork skills.
