Job Summary

As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to residents within our long-term care facility. Your responsibilities encompass client assessment, nursing diagnosis, health teaching, and collaboration with the care team to ensure resident comfort and well-being.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive client care through observation, assessment, counseling, and health education.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote resident comfort and well-being.
  • Accurately and efficiently carry out physician's orders, ensuring adherence to established protocols and best practices.
  • Supervise and guide staff involved in resident care, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

  • Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate.
  • Recent nursing experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric care principles.

Compensation and Schedule

Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience. Flexible scheduling options available, including day, evening, night shifts, and weekend rotations.
