Procurement Director and Strategic Sourcing Leader

CWB Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Procurement to lead our procurement function and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Create and execute procurement plans that optimize purchasing costs, improve operational efficiency, and mitigate risk.
- Lead Strategic Sourcing Initiatives: Conduct market research, develop RFPs, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure best-in-class pricing and service.
- Manage Procurement Operations: Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing, contract management, and vendor performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and sales, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Develop and Manage Budgets: Create and manage procurement budgets, track expenses, and analyze financial data to inform procurement decisions.
- Build and Maintain Supplier Relationships: Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Continuously monitor industry developments, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure our procurement function remains competitive and compliant.
- Post-Secondary Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Industry Designations: One or more relevant industry designations, such as SCMP, CPSM, or CSCP.
- Professional Experience: 7+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, and relationship management, with a minimum of 3 years in supplier risk management.
- Leadership Experience: 3+ years of senior leadership experience, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving business results.
- Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
