Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Care Nurse to join our team at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
Role:
The Clinical Care Nurse will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the OBS/Surgical Inpatient unit. This is a full-time position within a unionized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Qualifications:
- Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses.
- Preferred qualifications include completion of Maternal Child/Post Partum course.
- Completion of Breastfeeding Course is advantageous.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
- Updated IV therapy course and IV medication administration training must be completed within a specified timeframe post-hire.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Experience in a collaborative healthcare setting is preferred.
- Commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Consistent performance and attendance are mandatory.
- Successful reference checks are required prior to employment.
- A Police Vulnerable Sector Check must be provided.
- A Pre-Employment Health Assessment is required prior to hiring.
Work Schedule:
- Flexibility to work day, evening, and night shifts as per departmental needs.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications.
