Framing Team Lead Job Description

At Michaels, we're looking for a skilled and experienced Framing Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our framing department, you will be responsible for leading a team of framers in creating custom framing solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Coach the Framing Team: Provide guidance and support to the framing team to ensure they are meeting sales and production targets.
  • Drive Custom Framing Sales: Develop and implement strategies to increase custom framing sales and revenue.
  • Assist Customers: Work with customers to create custom framing solutions that meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
  • Manage Inventory and Operations: Oversee the inventory management process and ensure that the framing department is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage Shrink and Safety Programs: Implement and manage programs to reduce shrink and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in Performance Management: Participate in the performance management process for the framing team, including goal setting, coaching, and development.
  • Other Duties: Assist with other duties as assigned by management, including participating in the truck unloading and stocking process.
Requirements:
  • Previous Custom Framing Experience: Previous experience in custom framing is preferred.
  • Retail Management Experience: Experience in retail management, including leading a sales team.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Work Environment:

The Framing Team Lead will work in a fast-paced retail environment, interacting with customers and team members on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment, communicate effectively, and provide excellent customer service.
