About the Role:

MPE Engineering Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and municipal projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, emergency backup systems, and lighting systems.
  • Develop electrical system models using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet project requirements.
  • Provide technical input and direction to junior staff and other team members.
  • Conduct site visits to validate adherence to specifications and design.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide guidance under the direction of senior staff.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Eligibility for professional membership with APEGA (P.Eng.) or ASET (P.Tech.(Eng.)
  • Experience in electrical system design, drafting, and installation.
  • Commercial and/or industrial electrical consulting experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic drafting experience in Revit.
  • Understanding of electrical components in a model.
  • Good understanding of electrical design, installation, and code requirements of electrical systems in buildings.
