About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpet Installation Specialist to join our team at QC Quality Carpet Inc. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of carpet installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with carpet, ensuring accurate measurements and precise markings.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding, as well as measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors and other surfaces.
  • Installation and Repair: Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces, employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting, and inspect and repair damaged floor coverings.
  • Removal and Preparation: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants, and prepare and install hardwood floors.
  • Specialized Installations: Perform direct glue-down carpet installations and install resilient stair components (special effects for the visually impaired).
  • Estimation and Communication: Estimate parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, with a valid driver's license.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in various locations, with a focus on bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Language and Work Schedule: Fluency in English, with a 40-hour workweek.
