Job Summary

9659986 Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Logistics: Plan and coordinate routes, schedules, and cargo to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safe and secure transportation of cargo, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with dispatch and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Certifications: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Skills: Attention to detail, ability to work independently, strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: The work environment will be primarily outdoors, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Physical Demands: The job will require regular sitting, standing, and walking, as well as the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
