Job Summary

Accoravillage is seeking a highly skilled Remedial Cement Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day field remedial cementing operations on location and at the shop. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills, with a focus on ensuring the safe and efficient execution of cementing jobs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Manage and mentor personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure timely arrival at location.
  • Cementing Job Execution: Execute successful cementing jobs according to design and client specifications, with a focus on understanding rigging in/out procedures.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Ensure efficient handling of day-to-day operations, including critical tasks such as measuring cement density, collecting samples, and utilizing radios on location.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients and internal departments, including Sales and Dispatch.
  • Leadership: Work with station management to maintain operation and service standards, and assist in leadership of the Station.
  • Maintenance and Compliance: Evaluate Bulk Drivers and Operators on weekly maintenance requirements and equipment rebuilding, and ensure adherence to company Safety policies and compliance with HSE legislation.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare end of well, end of month, incident, abnormalities, maintenance, logbook, and end of jobs tickets and reports, as required.
  • Procedure Implementation: Implement and maintain procedures to ensure a high level of service, and develop and maintain strong external/internal client relationships in support of company values and objectives.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Work with management to improve policy and procedures, and supervise a crew on basic remedial jobs.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate the ability to operate any two of the core pieces of equipment, understand slow rate squeeze theory, and competently perform operational execution.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training and development activities, and complete Supervisor 1 sections of MAP (Accoravillage's internal competency evaluation program).
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid class 1 (Canada) / class A CDL (U.S.) driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical Demands: Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg., bending, standing, gripping, sitting/driving, walking, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
  • Work Environment: Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time and in all types of weather conditions, and able to be on call 24 hours on a 15 days on a 6 days off rotational schedule.
  • Experience and Skills: Experience as an oil and gas cementing supervisor and in operating pumpers, demonstrated ability to direct and motivate the work of others, and legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer Skills: Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other software, as required.
  • Reporting Experience: Experience in the completion of reports.
  • Customer Service: Experience in dealing with customers and dispatch.
  • Cementing Job Design: Understanding of cementing job design and client specifications.
  • Leadership and Compliance: Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety, and demonstrated leadership.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Able to perform all regular maintenance on equipment.
  • Team Player: Strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliable, and dependable, flexible and able to adapt to change, team player and customer service focused, and demonstrated initiative and results-oriented.
