Maritime Electric is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, constructing, and managing engineering projects aimed at improving the reliability of our transmission and distribution system.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, install, and integrate intelligent electronic devices, telecommunications systems, and SCADA infrastructure.
- Participate in protection coordination, control, and commissioning on the transmission and distribution system.
- Provide engineering design and construction for new substations or upgrades to existing substations.
- Support the Technical Services maintenance team with technical asset support.
- Coordinate and supervise projects, prepare project cost estimates, and contract preparation.
- Participate in distribution planning and development of Maritime Electric's standards.
- Integrate wind and solar into Maritime Electric's system.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and eligibility for registration with Engineers PEI.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills and ability to use standard industry design/analysis software.
- Working knowledge of CAD systems and drawing standards.
A competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including a salary range of $70,000-$90,000 per annum.
