About the Role

The Application Delivery Lead is responsible for overseeing solution and implementation activities for the Ryder Distribution Management (DM) technology portfolio. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of competitive and quality distribution management solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solution Delivery
    • Translate business needs and objectives into requirements and project estimates.
    • Enable competitive and quality technology solutions in response to business needs.
    • Design, develop, test, and deploy complex SQL query statements.
    • Design, develop, test, and deploy advanced database level stored procedures.
    • Design, develop, test, and deploy custom user/system interfaces and processes using programming languages such as C++, Java, Android, and PowerShell.
  • Product Management
    • Collaborate with business partners, external customers, and other IT functional teams to contribute to the product roadmap.
    • Develop domain expertise through project experience, industry publications/events, and self-learning.
    • Detailed knowledge of the Ryder Distribution Management platform and technology offerings.
  • Customer Engagement
    • Represent Ryder technology as the DM product subject matter expert in new/existing customer presentations/events.
    • Perform product demonstrations and solution training.
    • Communicate on product capability and assigned project status.
  • Administrative
    • Provide weekly status reports on assigned activities.
    • Accurate and timely timesheet and project required reporting.
    Additional Responsibilities
    • Continuously improve and innovate internal processes.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in distribution management, supply chain, information systems, information technology, or business.
    • Five (5) years or more in distribution/supply chain management experience, preferably in a 3PL/4PL environment.
    • Five (5) years or more in information technology and supply chain management systems.
    • Five (5) years or more in supply chain technology project implementation of supply chain technology solutions.
    • Five (5) years or more in use, configuration, or implementation of industry-recognized distribution management solutions.
    • Five (5) years or more in designing/coding custom user/system interfaces via C++, Java, Android, and PowerShell programming languages.
