Position Overview

As a vital member of the veterinary team at Alpine 24/7 Corp., the Veterinary Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of animals under our care. This position requires a blend of compassion, attention to detail, and physical stamina.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is necessary.
Work Environment
  • Engagement in a dynamic animal hospital setting.
  • Collaboration within a veterinary clinic atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and document animal behavior to assist in treatment plans.
  • Prepare and provide food for animals, ensuring proper nutrition.
  • Maintain cleanliness by disinfecting cages, pens, aquariums, and other enclosures.
  • Keep accurate records of animals treated to support veterinary staff.
  • Assist in the inoculation and treatment processes for various animals.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Administer flea baths and other treatments to enhance animal health.
  • Coordinate activities among veterinarians, nurses, and support staff.
  • Ensure the operating room and instruments are cleaned and sterilized.
  • Maintain a tidy work area to promote a safe environment.
Physical and Work Conditions
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Position is physically demanding, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
