About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Beddington Trail Animal Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat diseases or abnormal conditions in animals through physical examinations or laboratory tests
  • Prescribe medication, set bones, dress wounds, or perform surgery as needed
  • Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases
  • Advise clients on animal care, including feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, and hygiene
  • Conduct research related to animal nutrition, healthcare products, and disease prevention and control
  • Perform routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations
  • Provide a range of veterinary services, including obstetrics, dentistry, and euthanasia
  • Supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers
Requirements
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
