About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at THE WINGS ON FLAME RESTAURANT LTD. as a Team Lead. This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week, with a focus on leading our culinary team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food service staff to ensure seamless meal preparation and service.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency.
    • Hire and manage food service staff to meet the needs of our restaurant.
  • Operations and Logistics
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
    • Establish work schedules to ensure efficient use of staff and resources.
  • Customer Service and Quality Control
    • Ensure that food and service meet our high quality control standards, addressing customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
    • Monitor and maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Business Development and Support
    • Support the social and labor market integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
    • Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disaster, offering mentorship programs and pairing them with experienced employees.
    • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth, Indigenous workers, and members of visible minorities.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, and attention to detail.
Language and Work Environment

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week, with a focus on leading our culinary team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. The work language is English.
