About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team at TAVARES MASONRY LTD. as a Bricklayer. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of physical fitness and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units to construct buildings, walls, and other structures.
  • Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide a veneer facing for buildings and other structures.
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Work at heights on scaffolding or swing stages to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
  • Lay radial bricks to build masonry shells of industrial chimneys.
  • Lay or install firebricks to line industrial chimneys and smokestacks.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • This role requires physically demanding work, including handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling are also required to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in the field of employment.
  • Previous experience in this field is required.
  • Paramedical services coverage is provided.
  • Temporaire employment with a 40 hour work week and Anglais as the primary language of work.
