About the Role

Astellas Pharma Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Platforms Engineer to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our digital initiatives, you will play a crucial role in driving our business forward by developing, deploying, and integrating software platforms that support our business processes and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and configure business platforms to meet the specific needs of our organization.
  • Ensure seamless integration between different business platforms and systems to enhance data flow and business processes.
  • Regularly monitor the performance of business platforms, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Provide technical support to platform users, resolve issues, and conduct training sessions to ensure users can effectively utilize the platforms.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to various initiatives, applying your specialized skills to achieve the objectives and expected Value.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems, or a related field.
  • 5 years of progressive hands-on experience in developing S4HANA ABAP, Adobe interactive forms, ALE/IDOCs, Smartforms.
  • Extensive prior experience in the field of S4HANA ABAP and object-oriented programming, interface programming, RFC, ODATA, BAPI, Web-UI, SOAP, XML, Web-dynpro, ABAP on HANA using Eclipse.
  • Hands-on experience on SAP enhancement techniques like exits, BADI, and new enhancement framework (AIF).
  • Basic knowledge of functional modules like FI/CO, SD, MM, Purchasing, HR, etc.
  • 5 years of experience in developing in UI5/Fiori, Gateway, and OData technologies, IDocs, Proxies & Webservices.
  • 4 years of experience in developing CDS Views and HANA views.
  • 2 years of experience working with agile software design methodology for development and documentation.
  • Strong experience in Workflow, Flexible Workflows.
  • Experience in ALE/EDI IDOCs.
  • Excellent ABAP debugging and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interface with the business.
  • Self-motivated with dedication to continuous learning.
  • Ability to develop innovative SAP solutions.
  • Certification in SAP ABAP or related modules preferred.
  • Experience on Fiori Custom Fields and Logic (CFL) for modifications to standard SAP tables, Fiori apps.
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA - Data Modelling using HANA Studio, ABAP Development Tools (ADT), Code Performance Rules and Guidelines for SAP HANA, AMDP, code push down techniques, CDS and backend OData services, Native SQL, ABAP Core data Services.
  • Knowledge of using ABAP RESTful Programming Model ABAP Development for SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience in Application of SAP correction instructions, hot notes, SPAU & SPDD during upgrades.
