Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Mountain View Manor (Delta Hospital) in Delta, BC. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide person-centered care to our residents, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to promote optimal health outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including wound care, dementia care, and palliative care, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Collect and document relevant information from residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to inform care planning and decision-making.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and promote resident autonomy.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in gerontological nursing.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide education and support to residents, families, and staff on topics related to gerontological nursing.
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- One (1) year's recent, related gerontological nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current Level 1 First Aid certificate.
