Arctic Co-ops is seeking a highly skilled Co-op Assistant Manager to join our team in one of our northern communities. This is a full-time position that requires relocation to Gjoa Haven, Pangnirtung, Sanikiluaq, or Taloyoak.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced retail manager to lead our team in providing excellent customer service and achieving sales goals. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial management, inventory control, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily store operations, including sales, customer service, and inventory control
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales growth and improve customer satisfaction
  • Lead and motivate a team of staff to achieve high performance standards
  • Manage financial transactions, including cash handling and reconciliation
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors and other stakeholders to achieve organizational goals

Requirements

  • Three to five years of retail management experience in food and non-food operations
  • Knowledge of computerized environments, including Point of Sale systems
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
