Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Mini Retreat Childcare Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop.

• Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities for children, including storytelling, songs, and local outings, to foster a sense of community and social skills.
• Record-Keeping and Administration: Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development.
• Encouraging Creativity: Encourage children's creativity through various activities, such as arts and crafts, music, and movement.
• Daily Habits and Routines: Help children establish and maintain daily habits and routines, promoting a sense of structure and responsibility.
• Progress Monitoring: Observe and report on children's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
• Behavioral Guidelines: Establish and maintain guidelines for behavior, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
• Interpersonal Relationships: Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, service providers, and families, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Environment and Safety: Create a safe and healthy environment for children, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
• Supervision and Coordination: Supervise and coordinate with other educators to ensure a cohesive and effective team approach.

• Certifications and Training: Possess current certifications in first aid and CPR, as well as training in food allergy awareness and CECE membership.
• Education and Experience: Hold a College/CEGEP diploma and have at least 2 years of experience in early childhood education.
