Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified French Language Educator to join our team at the Grand Erie District School Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French in various positions throughout the year.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach French in Junior/Intermediate Divisions in accordance with Ministry of Education regulations.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning and achievement.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • Qualified to teach in the Junior/Intermediate Divisions in accordance with Ministry of Education regulations.
  • French-as-a-Second Language (Part 1) minimum or equivalent qualifications.

Requirements:

  • A valid Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • Current Police Records Check (which includes a vulnerable sector search) acceptable to the Board.
