Internal Medicine Site Director Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical professional to fill the role of Internal Medicine Site Director at Grace Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Regional Medical Specialty Lead in planning and coordinating the Internal Medicine Program system-wide.
  • Lead the effective and efficient delivery of care at Grace Hospital as the Medicine Site Lead.

Requirements:

  • Be licensed to practice medicine in the Province of Manitoba.
  • Hold an FRCP(C) in Internal Medicine or equivalent.
  • Have a full-time appointment to the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Manitoba at the Rank of Assistant Professor, or higher.

Desired Skills and Attributes:

  • 5 years or more of experience in a medical leadership role is a strong asset.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work towards WRHA goals.
  • Knowledge and experience in management functions including strategic planning, human resource and financial management.
  • Ability to provide leadership in a complex, rapidly changing environment.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position, approximately 5-6 hours per week, and may require attendance at evening meetings. The Site Director has a dual reporting structure, reporting to both the Regional Medical Specialty Lead and the Chief Medical Officer of the Site.
