Physician Assistant

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in the Emergency Department at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the transformation of healthcare delivery in our province.
Responsibilities- Obtain comprehensive health histories and conduct thorough physical assessments to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Utilize primary and secondary assessment results to formulate differential diagnoses and determine the need for further clinical investigation.
- Order diagnostic testing and interpret results to inform treatment decisions.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans that include preventive and therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons Nova Scotia.
- Membership with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants.
- Medical Liability Insurance required.
- Recent emergency medicine experience.
- Certifications in ACLS, PALS, and ATLS.
