Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and train a team of 3-4 cooks to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and cooking.
- Develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Culinary Expertise
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events and special occasions.
- Develop and implement new menu items and recipes to enhance our culinary offerings.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Management
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Manage kitchen inventory and supplies to minimize waste and optimize costs.
- Customer Service
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
The Sous Chef will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ability to stand for extended periods is required.
