About the Role:

Hammehr Talent Consultants invites applications for the position of Cloud Database Administrator on behalf of our client, a leading rental housing provider. This is a full-time permanent opportunity that requires a skilled professional to maintain and enhance database systems critical to the company's operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all databases are running smoothly, monitoring CPU usage, memory usage, and disk space to prevent any issues.
  • Perform performance tuning to reduce response times and enhance user experience.
  • Regularly update and maintain database structures, including tables, indexes, and constraints.
  • Execute maintenance plans to back up databases and update statistics, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
  • Manage and fortify database and server security, and stay compliant with the latest security protocols.
  • Work closely with software developers and business analysts to align database management with broader business objectives.
  • Participate in strategic projects, such as database migrations to the cloud and the implementation of new technologies.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience as a Database Administrator, using SQL Server 2014 or newer, to manage and optimize database systems crucial for day-to-day operations.
  • ~2+ years of Windows Server Administration experience, to manage and secure Windows Server environments, and ensuring high availability and compliance with best practices.
  • ~ Write efficient T-SQL queries and maintain SSRS reports to support daily database management tasks and ensure accurate and timely reporting across departments.
  • ~ Excellent oral and written communication skills, as you will frequently interact with different teams to discuss and solve database issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced SQL Server experience, especially with versions 2016 to 2022, optimizing database operations for efficiency and reliability.
  • Experience with SSIS and SSAS to enhance our data integration and analytical capabilities.
  • Database security acumen, including encryption and access controls, to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of data.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems quickly to keep database systems running smoothly and efficiently.
