About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at The Alex Community Health Centre. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based therapies and support services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our team to provide individual and group therapy sessions, using a range of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized service plans to support clients in achieving their treatment goals.
  • Work closely with clients, families, and community partners to ensure seamless care coordination and support.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on mental health and wellness topics.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends in mental health care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Eligibility for registration with a relevant professional discipline in Alberta.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Mental Health Clinician, preferably in a community health setting.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapies and treatment approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
