Job Title: Applications Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Engineer to join our team at Tri-Mach Group Inc. This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical design professional to work with a leading provider of sanitary stainless steel solutions.

About the Role

The Applications Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and deploying machinery and equipment, acting as a bridge between customers and the engineering team. This role requires a detail-oriented, professional, and out-of-the-box thinker who can promote a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create preliminary concepts for customer quoting purposes
  • Engage with customers at a technical level to understand their specific requirements
  • Liaison between third parties to ensure product claims are verified
  • Develop and execute presentations internally and to customers
  • Provide assistance in estimating labour and material cost for quoting purposes as well as design suggestions/concept layouts
  • Identify technical risks and their impact on the project to mitigate issues
  • Participate in concept reviews, design kick offs, and manufacturing reviews
  • Travel to customer locations as required
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values
Requirements
  • Mechanical Engineering degree/diploma or equivalent
  • Have or working towards Professional Engineering Certification (Peng)
  • Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD 2D
  • Knowledge of the food industry, food safety, and/or sanitary design principles
  • Proven ability to function in a self-directed environment and work independently on various design projects
  • Able to solve complex technical problems and use critical thinking in a fast-paced, agile environment
