Food Innovation Project Leader

The Food Innovation Project Leader will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the operational elements of ongoing initiatives, acting as a bridge between project management and execution teams, as well as upper management. In this capacity, you will contribute to evaluating project proposals to address timelines, budget constraints, and methodologies for achieving project goals. Additionally, you will assist in the assessment and prioritization of projects to ensure alignment with investment strategies and organizational objectives. As a Food Innovation Project Leader, you will have the chance to spearhead significant projects, foster business expansion, and influence the future of the food ingredients sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in identifying and addressing challenges to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within financial limits.
  • Comply with both internal and external quality standards.
  • Create comprehensive project plans and track and report on project status, including budget, timelines, and staffing needs.
  • Assemble project teams, allocate individual responsibilities, establish project timelines, and identify resource requirements.
  • Ensure all pertinent project information is recorded in project management tools and that all documentation is collected and stored for future reference.
  • Keep stakeholders updated on project progress and ensure detailed information is accessible when necessary.
  • Independently resolve moderately complex issues with minimal oversight, while escalating more intricate challenges to the appropriate personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Food Science, Business Management, Engineering) is essential. An advanced degree or certification in Project Management is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager, ideally within the food ingredients sector or a related field. Knowledge of food ingredient development, regulatory standards, and production methodologies is highly preferred.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects efficiently. Proficient in utilizing project management software and tools.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail. Capacity to identify risks, propose solutions, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • A proactive approach, self-driven, and results-oriented. Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to evolving project demands and priorities.
