About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welding Fabricator to join our team at McIntyre Coatings Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to prepare metal for welding.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal components.
  • Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines to optimize production efficiency.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure continuous production.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week.
