Join Our Team as a Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Vancouver Airport Authority. As a key member of our Engineering Projects Department, you will play a critical role in supporting the construction and development of projects on Sea Island.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation and management of construction projects, including developing project requirements, project scope, budget, and schedule. You will also be responsible for preparing and delivering project implementation plans, managing design teams, and maintaining project budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project requirements, project scope, budget, and schedule
  • Prepare and deliver project implementation plans
  • Manage design teams to meet desired project outcomes
  • Maintain and manage project budgets, including forecasting costs and risk management
  • Liaise with internal Airport Authority departments and external stakeholders throughout the projects
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of five years' experience managing construction projects in the design, construction, or consulting industry, supplemented by a post-secondary degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering. You will also need knowledge of construction industry practices and standards, particularly for heavy civil work, and strong project management, organization, and documentation abilities.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $91,587 to $119,696 per annum, based on a 37-hour workweek, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including generous vacation days, extensive health benefits, retirement savings matching, wellness programs, community engagement, commuting support, and continuous learning opportunities.
