Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and service restrooms, including restocking supplies and ensuring proper hygiene practices.
  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors and stairways, as well as clean and dust surfaces.
  • Collect and dispose of rubbish and waste materials, using powered equipment as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and report any needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces using treated dust mittens, cloths, or hand-cleaning items.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, mirrors, and fixtures using step and extension ladders.
  • Clean grounds and parking lots of litter, glass, or other debris.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the janitorial service.
  • Knowledge of the proper use of chemicals, fertilizers, and pesticides.
  • Ability to follow instructions and operate janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of building and property security procedures.

Working Conditions:

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods. Working conditions may involve exposure to unpleasant and noxious fumes and odors, as well as hazardous work environments.
